EVELETH, Minn. – On Wednesday morning, the City of Eveleth unanimously voted to name a new Chief of Police.
After serving with the Eveleth Police Department for the last 15 years, Deputy Chief Jesse Linde was appointed to the position of Chief of Police.
Linde served the last six of those years of Deputy Chief.
In a Wednesday press release, Timothy Koivunen wrote, “My last day with the City will be this Friday and I have all the faith and trust that Chief Linde will lead with pride, integrity, and professionalism that our communities expect and deserve. I have worked side by side with Chief Linde and have the highest of respect for him. I wish Chief Linde and his family all the best going forward.”
