Prime Properties believes a key reason for the vacant ground floor retail space at the Electric City Apartments in downtown Schenectady is the lack of visibility. SCHENECTADY — The Electric City Apartments will not get the spark it wanted after planning officials spiked the installation of an outdoor electronic sign.
Officials rejected a request by the developers of one of downtown Schenectady's most prominent new apartment buildings to install a message board advertising future commercial tenants.
