DOLE eyes joint monitoring of workplace protocols for COVID-19

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, April 28 (PIA) -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 2 has proposed to the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (RIATF) the expansion of monitoring teams for the compliance of workplace guidelines and protocols on the prevention and control of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales said that they have been conducting the monitoring of the compliance of business establishments and other private firms on the DOLE-DTI Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2020-04-A or the Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19. However, the DOLE needs the intervention of other agencies to enforce the provisions of the said circular.
