The Metals Industry Research and Development Center of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-MIRDC) has urged members of the Metalworking Industries Association of the Philippines (MIAP) to take advantage of its facilities to boost capabilities in areas of conventional and precision machining, conventional and precision metal casting, and heat treatment and surface coating.

MIRDC’s Deputy Executive Director for Technical Services Engr. Jonathan Q. Puerto made the call during the MIAP’s virtual 31st General Membership Meeting and Election on May 21.
He said the MIRDC is fully committed to support the metals and engineering industry with services designed to enhance its competitive advantage.
