Passmore wanted it to incorporate the lake, since it's one of Sheboygan's major attractions. Out of town guests visiting the bar will often remark, "It's like Sheboygan has its own ocean."
Passmore finds the lake relaxing and likes to view it by car, motorcycle or bicycle. And Haneman, he said, is a "water buff," so a mural of the lake made sense to represent them and Sheboygan.
The mural will cover most of the 100-foot-by-50-foot wall and use bright colors against black outlining. It will look like it's made of stained glass and feature Sheboygan's iconic, red lighthouse that sits on North Pier. When it's complete, people will be able to stand next to the mural and look like they are standing on the pier.
