East Chambers ISD became the latest district in Southeast Texas to announce a complete end to its virtual learning option Monday, with students who don’t wish to return to campus being asked to enroll in another district.
In a letter to parents, district Superintendent Scott Campbell said the district “will discontinue its remote learning platform at the end of the semester and will no longer be providing remote learning as of January 5, 2021.”
“Please be prepared to make a decision that best suits your family,” Campbell said. “Your options include: 1. Return to face-to-face instruction. 2. Enroll your students in another school that accepts transfers and is still offering remote instruction or some other private options, such as home or private schooling.”
