"I'll be sad to see him go but I've loved every minute of playing the character," he said. "I have really enjoyed being part of that final storyline, my time over the six and a half years has culminated in something that people will remember.
"When you leave a show like this and the door's open, that question can stay over you for a very long time but this is very definitive of course and I'm happy with that. It's a nice thing to have a full stop to the end of Kush's story. Although it's the end of the line for Kush, he has given me lots of happy memories and I will miss him greatly."
