Quito, Feb 7 (Prensa Latina) Ecuador develops today a day of atypical general elections, marked by a strictly compliant biosafety protocol, to avoid more infections of Covid-19.
A total of 13 million 99 thousand 150 citizens are registered to vote, allowing to define the next president and vice president of the Republic, the 137 members of the National Assembly and five Andean parliamentarians.
Data offered by the National Electoral Council (CNE) confirm that of the total number of people called to the polls, 12 million 688 thousand 911 are residents in Ecuador and 410 thousand 239 abroad.
