The European Union is set to investigate potential breaches in online content rules by ByteDance's TikTok, according to a recent statement by an EU official. As per the statement, if TikTok is found guilty of breaking rules meant to safeguard children and promote transparent advertising, the popular short-video-sharing platform will be liable to a large fine.
