A weekly webinar, ‘Farm Business Options’, will feature news, views and interviews on current topics relevant to farm business diversification in Irish Agriculture.
According to EU data, almost one-third of German farmers (92,000) have diversified – one of the highest percentages across the Continent.
Hanne Green, an Agricultural Advisor from the Landratsamt Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, in Germany’s Black Forest Region will discuss tourism along with farm diversification.
Many farms provide accommodation or apartments to lease out alongside their main farm enterprise. This Region is very scenic with plenty of forestry, forest walks, ski resorts and magnificent scenery.
Hanne will discuss developments within this Region and her work as an Agricultural Advisor. She will explain production systems and show plenty of photos of entrepreneurial farm’s. Hanne will also discuss organic farming, agritourism, artisan food and renewable energy adoption in her Region.
