TOBA TEK SINGH: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Faisalabad booked on Friday a former PML-N MPA from Toba Tek Singh’s PP-86 in a fraud case.
The first information report (FIR) registered on the complaint of the deputy commissioner (DC) under sections 420, 471, 468, 109 and 409 of the PPC and 5/2/47 of PCA stated that Amjad Ali Javed, who is also the incumbent PML-N district president, and his deceased brothers Muhammad Ashraf and Muhammad Afzal established an allegedly illegal housing scheme, called Hashmat Gardens, on Toba-Gojra bypass road near Chak 323-JB Trandi over 97 kanals and 17 marlas.
The DC added that land for the society had been purchased in 2007 from M/s Husnain traders products limited cotton ginning oil mills, who had bought it from the government for industrial purposes in the first place.
