FAIRFIELD TWP. – Johnson’s Grocery will build a larger, more modern store at its longtime Hamilton-Mason Road site.
Trustees unanimously approved a zone change from residential to business planned unit development and the preliminary plan for the store. It sits on four acres on the south side of Hamilton-Mason Road, east of Millikin Road.
“I appreciate the way you’re keeping the name Johnson’s,’’ Trustee Shannon Hartkemeyer said to the Patels, the grocery’s new owners.
“It’s a pillar of the community. I think it’s going to upgrade our township.”
