A woman was struck and killed while trying to cross Interstate 95 in Broward County Thursday morning, authorities said.
Florida Highway Patrol officials said the 21-year-old woman was struck in the northbound lanes of the highway near Copans Road while trying to cross from the right shoulder around 4 a.m.
According to an FHP report, the woman's car had become disabled on the highway due to a flat tire shortly before she tried to cross the highway and was struck by a truck.
