A picture after lone wolf caused biggest, how did he get firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition without raising any red flags if well have a former fbi assistant director. Were hearing stories of heroism, total strangers using their own bodies to shield, to protect others from a hail of bullets. Strangers using cars as make shift am plans to transport wounded people. A congressman has a lot more. Hillary vaughn in las vegas with details coming forth who this man was. There are a lot of questions, hillary. Reporter a lot of unanswered questions, remain, trish. Federal Law Enforcement officials tell fox news that investigators discovered the shooter, stephen pad dach, spent tens of thousands of dollars overseas to who yet. We know paddocks girlfriend, Marilou Danley is overseas in tokyo. Place say she is still under investigation. Law enforcement is hoping to get information they took from paddocks home in mesquite, nevada. His own family had no idea of he had weapons and bombmaking materials in his home and neither did police until they found it. They took from the home, 19 additional firearms. Explosives. Several thousands of rounds of ammo. They took computer hard drives they turned over to the fbi. They found Ammonium Nitrate found in his car used to make explosives. This video is from a guest that stayed in the exact same hotel room last year. We also know that the type of weapons that paddock used in the attack. Here is what authorities uncovered from that hotel room. 23 firearms. Some of those fully automatic weapons. A hand gun, rifle equipped with scopes and a hammerlike tool he used to break the windows and the investigation is not over. The gunfire has ended but the terror lives from that night. Hundreds remain in the hospital recovering from wound they received in the attack. Were expecting update from authorities on status of those individuals, and also why this happened. Trish . Trish wow a lot of questions right now. Hillary, thank you very much. Right now i want to point out we got some brand new pictures of those weapons that the gunman used. Take a look there. Those were his weapons. He had 42 guns found there in the hotel room at mandalay bay. Joining me democratic representative from nevada whose district includes northern las vegas, congressman reuben keelan. Congressman, you have a lot of questions as do we. Can you help us any way to try to connect the dots . Were hearing tens of thousands of dollars, hundreds of thousands of dollars sent to the philippines. What connection does that have to this man . Wells first of all let me take a second to say thank you to all the people in las vegas who stepped up to donate blood. Our Community Come together, thank you to everyone. This is very unfortunate incident. Ive been working with the sheriff. Ive been part of the briefings with the fbi and the dea, local Law Enforcement. We still have a lot of questions. There are still a lot of confusion. There is still not a specific motive. I know here in the next few hours, in the next days and weeks to come well get a lot more responses as to what exactly was the motive for this, this very violent act of domestic terrorism. Trish yeah. I think all of us, i mean its human nature, right, congressman, you want to button this up to try to understand it in some way, shape or form and initially isis had claimed this attack but fbi said they found no connection to isis. So there are just lots and lots of questions remain this. Is someone who didnt have any kind of a criminal background history and someone who at least by most accounts led a pretty normal life up until this incident. Let me turn to las vegas right now and just talk to you a little bit about what you briefly mentioned there. You said all kinds of examples of heroism. People lining up, for example, to donate blood, something that is very muchneeded right now for those victims. Yeah. You know, if anything, that should come out of this tragic story is all of the heroes that emerged. All the way from the people who were saving other, you know, other peoples lives, strangers, helping strangers, police officers, you know, running up to find the gunman to the paramedics transporting these victims to the hospital, all the way to the doctors and nurses as we speak right now are doing Everything Possible to save lives. I was there at the hospital myself yesterday around 3 00 a. M. , visiting with some victims and families. Let me tell you, i have never seen anything like this. Hopefully will never see anything like this rest of my life. Were doing Everything Possible to save lives of people. The Las Vegas Community stepped up. We saw lines six hours long here yesterday. Again, i want to say thank you to our local community here really stepped up. The gofundme account that we established has already raised over 3 million. That goes to show you that humanity, it is humanity at its best. Trish yeah. Congressman, we all have very heavy heart this is week. I think yesterday was a really hard day. Were not there in vegas but we feel your pain, sir. Were all praying for you. Thank you. Trish thank you for coming on the show. Thank you so much. Trish joining me right now, former fbi assistant director ron hosco. Ron, you heard hillarys report at the top of the hour. We now learned he sent thousands of dollars, tens of thousands of dollars, ron, to the philippines. If we have a picture of his wife we can show the viewer, we dont know if it is his wife, i should correct myself, companion, mary lou danley, she may have been from the philippines originally. Tell me what you know about any connection he may have had to the philippines . I think, trish, that this is, you know these tidbits what we know more from Law Enforcement about, particularly the particulars of his relationship with this woman. The notion of him traveling, or sending tens of thousands of dollars overseas, there is a purpose behind that, we need to find out who was the recipient. Is she the intended resipient . Did know this plan was coming . Did she know this plan was coming, put into effect this. Was his way of starting to funnel money to her . Could the Money Transfer have been intended for him . That this was his escape plan . So we need to get down into those details and i thought all along, it is really in this case where you have somebody who looks like they have this very discrete, lowkey existence, there are going to be telltale signs but i think it is incumbent on the fbi and local Law Enforcement there to do a deep dive into his finances, look at real gambling history. If were talking about highstakes gambling, that includes highstakes losing too. The notion of him being a millionaire does not pass muster, until forensic accountants dive into his numbers and have a complete picture whether this was somebody truly rich or somebody headed to the poor house. Trish i know the fbi has said there is no connection to isis but those questions linger because isis tried to claim this attack. That may be them desperate to claim to any attack that happens but people are struggling to make sense of this in some way, shape or form, so trying to understand a motive is critical to all of this. In terms of the investigation, you mentioned they will follow the money. That is a big part of this. You can piece together somebodys life by trail of receipts, shall we say, ron, that leaves behind . Thats right. What was he spending his money on, where was he spending his time . Sound like were getting closer to the truth he was spending a lot of his time gambling. We heard emmy nations from the brother and other people that came into contact with him. Those very lavish casinos in las vegas are built with gamblers money. Was he a regular donor, or regularly taking money away . There are lots of folks in this country going down a financial wormhole and, some may see that a Violent Crime or suicide is a way out. Trish wow. That is one explanation nation, perhaps. Something that the gaming industry is not going to welcome. Let me ask you about this companion. Originally looking at her as person of interest. We heard that she wasnt very much in focus. She is overseas right now. Whats your thought on that, given your background at the fbi would they ever say she is not a person interest if she is and they would not want her to know that . That is a good possibility, youre exactly right. Theyre trying to lower the temperature. She is certainly a person of interest because of her relationship with him, him checking in using an i. D. For her. They will certainly put her on the radar. She is the on the radar. It would be prudent for them to kind of lower the temperature. Fbi has legal attaches across asia and across the world. To the extent the japanese would facilitate it, i think the fbis legal attache may have already interviewed her. They may go back with followup questions or perhaps theyre being a friendly host, arriving back home so she can interviewed in las vegas but she needs to be debriefed in a very thorough manner. Trish thank you, ron as always. My pleasure. Trish President Trump and melania touring devastation and meeting with officials as the island tries to restore power and water to millions of residents. Our own mike tobin is there. He will have all the details. Were back with that and much more next. In texas and florida, we get aplus. I think we have done just as good in puerto rico and actually a much tougher situation. But now the roads are cleared. Communications is starting to come back. We need their truck drivers. Their drivers have to start driving trucks. We have to do that. So on local level they have to give us more help. Trish ahead of his trip there, President Trump says his administration has done a good job in puerto rico helping the island recover from hurricane maria. This afternoon the president is meeting with individuals impacted by the storm before meeting with the governor of the u. S. Virgin island in the next hour. You did hear the president say, he needs more in the way of local help as well. Our mike tobin is there locally in puerto rico with the very latest for us live. Hi, mike. Reporter hi, there, trish. More than anything what the president can do for people of puerto rico is answer a question for them. Let me rephrase that. What the people of puerto rico will want from him an answer to that question, when life will get back to normal. Speaking to the at the joint Operations Center that that is d question to answer. There is a lot of moving parts, you have to define what is normal. What he can do on the ground to communicate the message of puerto rico that they are not forgotten that the president and people of main lapd have not forgotten them. It is logistics of getting things on boat and to puerto rico and getting things where it is needed most. You saw president going to Hurricane Harvey and was criticized not meeting with people impacted by the storm. Here in puerto rico he didnt make that mistake again. Hadnt seen anything like it . No. Never. Maria was the worst. Did you feel safe during the hurricane . Since this is concrete, we were safe, yeah. Not a lot of movements . , Vibration Movement . No. No. Only windows. Just the windows. Yeah. We have a good house, thank god. Here you are exactly. Exactly. Were going to help you out. Reporter going to help you out. What people want mostly in terms of hope turned back on. Two weeks out of the storm, still 6. 9 of the power grid is reconnected. 10 hospitals are back on the grid. Most are operates on emergency generators. And those generators are meant to be temporary. They fun out of fuel eventually. Mechanics on those generators will fail if they are not maintained. If they dont get hospitals reconnected to the grid. You heard the president talk about a need for truckers. There is good news on that front. Crowley shipping says 100 of the fema containers have now been moved past that bottleneck at the port of san juan. 855 container trucks rolled out of the port yesterday. We watched today as steady stream of container trucks were moving out of the port. That is good news for people that live next to big roads, two lanes or larger. Debris is cleared for big roads. Still a problem for people higher in the mountains with thinner roads. A lot of those roads are washed out. A lot of those roads are not cleared from debris. Further away from the big cities, further away from the coast, harder it is for people out there. The town of ponce, two hours outside of san juan, people are washing clothes in the river. They have been going to underground streams as a source of clean water. Trish . Trish mike tobin, very much. Democrats pounces on the tragedy in las vegas to promote their gun control agenda. Lots of misinformation out there on media and social media on gun and gun laws. Second amendment advocate, jan morgue fan is here. Morgan. She will cut through all the noise for you. Right afterrs this. Fidelity, where smarter investors will always be. Can i kick it . Yes you can can i kick it . Yes you can can iick it . Yes you can well im gone trish democrats wasting no time politicizing the tragedy in las vegas. Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren out there tweeting just hours after the news broke, i quote, tragedies like las vegas have happened too many times. We need to have the conversation about how to stop gun violence. We need it now. 2016 democratic president ial nominee Hillary Clinton shortly there after, the crowd fled at sound of gunshots. Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer which the nra wants to make easier to get. Let me just ask you something . Is it really appropriate to be launching ones self into a middle of a big gun debate, at a time when so many are still struggling . Hundreds are in the hospital right now. Were awaiting Democratic Congressional leaders who are at this moment looking to introduce some more legislation if they can i guess. Dan morgan joins me right now. Lets go to her. Actually, are we going to adam . Well go to adam shapiro first. Jan, hang tight, were coming back i promise. Adam shapiro live at the capitol. He has more on the legislation theyre looking to introduce. Take it away. Reporter what theyre looking to do, trish, at some point, gun safety as democrats call it, legislation, one of our producers noticed they used to use the phrase gun control. Theyre now using the phrase gun safety. Republicans calling for whatever you want to call it, different regulations from firearms. The republican from florida, carlos corbello, had this to say. Once families have time to grieve, we get all the facts, we need a discussion in this congress about sensible gun control, and we have to support, respect the Second Amendment and the bill of rights. Reporter but then you get people like representative peter king, a republican who had this to say. It poe lit sizeses a tragedy. If people are really interested in getting some sort of reasonable gun regulation in place, all theyre doing is hurting the case. Reporter Speaker Paul Ryan talking about the tragedy in las vegas, talked about the need for better care of Mental Health issues because clearly the person who is involved in this kind of tragedy has some kind of a Mental Health issues. So that is where we stand on capitol hill, dont expect any legislation anytime soon. What is coming down the pike, trish, legislation which moved out of committee which would have made it, referred to silencers, would have made it easier to purchase a silencer for our weapons and transport weapons, transport weapons across state lines. And there was opposition to that from people on both sides of the political spectrum. I will throw it back to you. Trish thank you very much, adam. Joining me Second Amendment advocate, citizens for Trump National spokesperson, jan morgan. Jan, let me tell the viewers, thank you to you for all the help you gave me yesterday on the phone as i tried to understand this weaponry because what he had is not legal in the first place, right . Well, machine guns have been prohibited, any machine guns manufactured before 1986 are illegal but you can legally obtain one. The process however, trish, is extremely timeconsuming, very expensive and subjects you as a citizen to consistent monitoring by the federal government. There are over half a Million People in america who own fully automatic weapons and, you know, most all of those people are lawabiding citizens. Trish this one was kind of tricked out, right . He took a semiautomatic and made it fully automatic. Right. That is the point. Further restrictions in this area will not change anything here because anyone with basic firearms knowledge can modify a semitraumatic weapon and turn it into a fully automatic weapon. Those restrictions only affect lawabiding citizens. I know what the left will say. Trish you shouldnt have the semiautomatics in the first place. Which is ridiculous. The left is pushing this debate on gun control, because, trish, emotions are high right now. And their arguments are all emotionbased. But any good leader knows when you are making policy that affects the lives of millions of people, you dont make it when epositions are high. You make your decisions based on facts, not emotions. The facts are on our side in this debate. President trump also, he can sit down with nancy pelosi and schumer, negotiate on number of issues but the Second Amendment is not one of them. 90 gun owners in this country helped him get elected. You did help him get him elected. Yes we do. Trish if he looks like he might waffle on this issue any way, shape or form . He better not. Trish what does that mean for you and other folks in the base . He better not waffle. I think President Trump knows better, he understands this one simple fact, restrictiveness, trish, on gun laws is a moot point. It only effects, it only affects lawabiding citizens. Criminals, crazy people, terrorists do not act based on the laws. Paris, france, is perfect example. You cant get anymore restrictive. Trish seen it over and over again in europe. They have lots of laws, not doing them any good. Absolutely. Trish tell me what your reaction was . Mine, happy to tell you, was a little bit of disgust the way Hillary Clinton politicized this. I dont care what side of the aisle youre on this one, i just dont think, and you know, because i told you this yesterday, i do not think it is appropriate time and place to immediately go straight to the gun debate to latch on to that hours after people were killed there in vegas. Hillary clinton should have been included in her book of what happened, the truth of the matter, her attitude is what happened. Yesterday was the perfect display, perfect example why people do not like her. She is not likeable. She showed a total lack of compassion and Human Emotion on the horrible tragedy, trish. Why you and i talked about, i was supposed to be on fox yesterday. I did not want to come on to talk about gun control. Trish that wasnt on my show, by the way. Because i didnt want to talk about that either yesterday, jan. No. Trish it felt completely tone deaf. But you know, that is i suppose Hillary Clintons, you know, that is her downfall, occasionally a little bit tone deaf. You got it. Jan, good to see you, thank you for coming on and clarifying things. Agreed. Agreed, 100 . Former ceo of equifax blasted on capitol hill today about its massive Data Security breach of 143 million americans most private information. This as the Company Reveals an additional 2 1 2 million more americans had their information compromised. My goodness it, wont stop. We have all the intel and what you need to do next. Trish teslas stock recovering after taking a little bit of a dip on model 3 production miss. Only 362 cars were produced, which is short of expected 1500. Teslas prediction of producing 5,000 cars is in doubt. Ge chairman jeff immelt stepping down sooner than expected handing the ceo duties to john flannery. To have him bigger role in Decision Making and allow immelt to pursue other opportunities. Ges stock, everyone. Put that up real quick. This is a stock that has been highlychallenged under immelts leadership and there was a lot of frustration among many shareholders who felt he couldnt do much with the stock over a 10year period. You can imagine there is sense of relief amongst shareholders that he is out. I was right. Up half a percent. Defense secretary mattis speaking before Congress Today on impending deadline to determine whether or not u. S. Will remain in iran nuclear deal. Take a listen here. Do you believe it is in our National Security interest to remain in the jcpoa . Thatthat is a yes or no questio . Yes, senator, i do. Trish the president s advisors expecting their support for the iran deal, saying iran has been keeping its promise to halt its Nuclear Weapons program. Former equifax ceo, richard f. Smith, blaming human error and technology for massive breach that exposed data of 145. 5 million americans. Unbelievable. We trust them with our information and they basically let anybody get their hand on it. Anybody whoever had a credit check run for bank account, mortgage, you are vulnerable. Youre talking about nearly 10,050,000,000 people here. Though he was apologetic on capitol hill this morning, he should be, very apologetic, the house commerce subcommittee demanding answers why on earth he let this happen and stayed mum for so long we all want to know. Gerri willis is following it. Im angry with the company. Were all angry with this company. Congress is angry with this company. Is this Company Going to exist as we know it . Were just the clients, not the product. It has yet to be seen impact of recent happens on this company but, let me tell you what i heard today. The retired ceo, richard smith, really earning his pension today as members of the house energy and commerce subcommittee, both republicans and democrats lit into him like a pinata. Did executives that sold 2 million worth of Company Shares in august, did they know the consumer breach when they sold their shares . Here is representative jan schakowsky, democrat from illinois. The response to the breach was its responsible. They directed victimsa fake website. In the end equifax has had to apologize for its postbreach response almost as much as it apologized for the breach itself. And in his prepared testimony smith said he was alerted of the problem a day before insiders sold stock. Most notably, the chief financial officer, john gamble. Interesting details there. Smith was questioned closely about the companys stumbles to customers attempting to reach them in the wake of the breach. The companys website was inaccessible. And inadvertently sent people to bogus website with a shared address to help victims. Again schakowsky from illinois. There were executives who sold over a Million Dollars in stock just days after the breach was discovered but yet not reported, and for a lot of americans, that just doesnt pass the smell test. All right. I think we flipped those sots there. For his part smith apologized for the companys poor response to the breach and they blamed human error and technology failures. They are considering a clawback of his pension. He is walking away with, get this, 18 million. Trish. Trish absolutely mindboggling this story. How dare he walk away with the big ol golden parachute when everybody has seen their information compromised . Thank you very much, gerri willis as always for staying on the story. To join me discussing equifax to, look at what markets is doing, dave nelson and robert luna. Good to see you both. David, i dont see how this Company Continues on. I dont see how this guy keeps his 18 milliondollar parachute. I dont see how we dont really start to require a whole lot more from these companies that are, i disagree with gerri, we are their customers, theyre supposed to safeguard our information. They get their paws on it. It is their responsibility to keep it safe. It is pretty clear what were witnessing today is kind of a public hanging. We have to have one of these every now and then but this is pretty common for corporate america. When you have egg green just act like this. You come before congress, resign, fall on your sword but shed no tears. He will walk away with many millions of dollars. I doubt very much we can do to claw that back. Trish this is a big deal. 145. 5 Million People, robert. We, i guarranty you all, if youre watching at home, you probably had your information compromised. Not only had your information compromised, went on the website to fix it, it was a phony site on top of that. Robert, they cant get it together. This is serious. Were living in a day and age where our entire financial portfolios are online. That is exactly it. There is some trust placed in this company, trish, completely violated. I think one of the congresspeople spoke about the smell test. That is the issue here with this. When you have the cfo unloading a Million Dollars a share at 145, two days before investors have to sell it 20 lower, at that to me sound a little bit strange to me. Trish a little more than strange that could actually be insider trading. How could someone at senior level not know what is going on . Not know that there was a security breach. Not know that they were vulnerable . Then he is out selling shares of the company ahead of the news descending on the public. Something is very messed up here. David, they will have to be more proactive protecting information. When i say they all, not just talking about the credit bureaus, i think banks, anyone with the goods on us. I think you bring up a great point. There was one bright spot in the testimony. He talked about giving a tool to consumers or americans in this case, the ability to shut your credit file. For the bottom line it is too late for us. Im a customer of equifax. My data is probably out there. Most of us will not be able to change our Social Security numbers. Well have to come to some kind of standards in cybersecurity. If you possess sensitive customers information, have to be minimums of cybersecuritys and standards we meet across america. Trish all right. Well, we will leave it there. We do need more security. We do need better standards. Perhaps equifax will turn out to be an example. He shouldnt keep the 18 million bucks. Robert, dave, thank you very much. Facebook under fire for promoting fake news in the wake of the horrific tragedy in las vegas, hosting articles identifying the wrong shooter. Talk about fax news . As well as false information about the shooters motive. More fake news. As we learn 10 Million People saw fake news paid for by russians during the election. So what happened to all of those promises that facebook was giving us about stopping fake news . Isnt it time to we start calling out facebook . We will, after this. Im a concrete mason. I had severe fatigue, went to a doctor. Became diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma. I had to put my trust in somebody. We recommended chemotherapy, and then a stem cell transplant. When his disease progressed, i thought that he would be a good candidate for immune therapy to unleash his immune system against the cancer. Im back to working hard. Ive honestly have never felt this great. The evolution of cancer care is here. Learn more at cancercenter. Com Appointments Available now. Trish more problems for facebook. The company says it automatically promoted false stories, automatically, about the las vegas shooter as Online Scammers took advantage of its quote, safety check feature. Yes, they have a safety check feature that gets taken advantage of. This comes as facebook faces scrutiny over its handling of fake news after it estimated that 10 Million People saw ads bought by accounts linked to russian government. So wait a second here. Didnt they say they wanted to clean this up . What are they doing if anything about all of this . Our own Deirdre Bolton joins me right now. They say they want to fix it. A lot of work cut out. So one of the best pieces i have seen written about facebook these days, published new york magazine, had Mark Zuckerberg, founder of ceo looking at pack of rhinos in the serengeti, does Mark Zuckerberg even know what facebook is . So two billion users, i think he created this monster and now, through the algorithms which is why all of these fake postings i could backtrack, coming higher than they should in the searches because essentially two billion people are using this. It is impossible even for them i think at this point to keep track of it all. So you referenced specifically what happened after the las vegas shooting. There were people who were clicking to get updates, obviously what was going on, to check in on friends and family. If the first few hours there was feature article, made all the sense in the world but next to it, there were some users seeing content from sputnik, which is a russian news agency, which incidentally is under investigation by the department of justice for other reasons. Now facebook took it down as quickly as possible, and said, as google, not only facebook. Google having these problems. Listen, our algorithms are not catching everything they should be catching. When you maybe log on to check in to see if friends and family are okay, you might be getting that, instead of getting a feed from, for example, our colleagues doing amazing job from fox news or another accredited news organization. Trish put fox into the feed . Or just getting through, for some reason, there is a lot of traction and it is by volume only. So the algorithms, the formulas are just passing this through. Trish basically, buyer beware. Do not trust the news you read on facebook. Or google. Trish or google. You need to go to foxbusiness. Com or foxnews. Com or reputable site. There is something to be said for people on the ground, our colleagues there, coordinating statements with local police with local hospitals. Under normal circumstances, facebook and google would give preference to a trusted organization, such as fox news. Trish instead it is sputnik . Google has the same thing, anonymous messageing board fortran misidentified shooter. Because that was getting a lot of traction that was popping up in google news. Trish deirdre, consumers are smart. So i would like to believe ultimately the consumer will have some say here. Facebook should do a heck of a lot better job, but consumers dont want to read fake news. They certainly do not. Consumers are clamoring, to the point facebook said well hire 1000 more human editors to monitor the kinds of news. They have two billion users, hire 1000 humans, i dont know if really that is drop of the bucket or not. But our lawmakers are very aware of the situation and november 1st, there is going to be a huge hearing in which facebook execs, twitter execs, google execs going to washington, d. C. , to answer questions. Deirdre, thank you very much. Well got back to las vegas, new details about this man, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars he transferred back to the philippines. Can i kick it . Yes you can can i kick it . Yes you can can i kick it . Yes you can well im gone so we need tablets installed. With the menu app ready to roll. In 12 weeks. Yeah. The world of fast food is being changed by faster networks. Data, applications, customer experience. Which is why comcast business delivers Consistent Network Performance and speed across all your locations. Fast connections everywhere. Thats how you outmaneuver. Trish getting reports that the man that shot dead 59 people and wounded 527 others in las vegas, transferred tens of thousands of dollars, possibly as much as 100,000 to the philippines before going and purchasing all of those weapons, more than 40 of them, where he then went to the Mandalay Motel and shot dead some people just about 37 hours ago. Just a tragic, tragic event. Youre seeing people as you often do in these situations pull together. We saw knit texas. We saw it in florida. Weve seen it in puerto rico. It is happening in las vegas. Dr. Marc siegel, fox News Medical Team joins me now. We heard there is shortage of blood. What do you know, dr. Siegel, people lined up by the hundreds to donate. Hours waiting lines at 13 centers in las vegas, outlying areas. Plenty of blood. Plenty of donations. That is hajj, the number one problem after a gunshot wound is bleeding and correcting the bleeding. Theyre not having a shortage. That is terrific. Trish 527 wounded. A lot are in critical condition. We know the death toll ticked higher to 59. What is your prognosis, i know you dont know the intimate details of everyones medical situation, but 527 in the hospital that are wounded, how challenging is Something Like this to recover from . The first challenge within the first hour. It is called the golden hour. Looking back on it a day already, they have obviously done very well. We heard from Sunrise Hospital that the chief medical officer called in an extra 100 doctors and 100 nurses and personnel. That is the level 2 trauma center. That got 126 of the gunshot wounds. They pulled together. You can say what you want about reading manuel. Nobody reads moon all. Even rehearsals dont matter. Knowing when its happening knowing how to rye age patients triage most patients that are sick. Trish do you have more doctors descending on the hospitals . I would think the personnel, staff you need to deal with onslaught of victims coming in is very challenging in of itself . They used all physicians associated with these hospitals. University Medical Center has 60 full time physicians, 60 residents and 200 nurses. They have a huge trama center. Three levels to it. Its a huge trama center. They have everybody in. They brought the doctors all in and working roundtheclock. Were reporting that the firstresponders working roundtheclock. Bringing people to the hospital, going back, getting more. It was very coordinated effort. Trish wow, dr. Siegel. That is the bright side of all of this, as hard as it is been an continue to be, our hearts go out to all of the victims. This wonderful to sigh pulling together once again of american communities. Theyre not out of the woods yet as you pointed out, trish . There will be need to be repeated operations. A lot of handholding a lot of praying, a lot of love, a lot of courage well see in days to come. Trish what is this guy all about as we did learn. He did send tens of thousands of dollars to the philippines before this happened. Thank you, dr. Siegel. Were back with more after this. And administrative paperwork, your days of drowning people are numbered. Same goes for you, budget overruns. And rising costs, wipe that smile off your face. Were coming for you too. At optum, were partnering across the Health System to tackle its biggest challenges. . President trump and the first lady are in puerto rico taking a firsthand look at the damage from hurricane maria. Theyve met with local officials, working to restore power and dlifl supplies to the islands 3. 5 million residents. Coming up, the president will meet with the governor of the u. S. Virgin islands, assessment of the damage there. Well have that live for you. Were expecting las vegas to also have a press conference coming up in the next hour. So it is a busy afternoon. Liz is going to take you through. Liz in fact, trish, we are just getting in pictures of the Mandalay Bay Hotel room. The las vegas shooter used as a snipers nest. Look at that door. It was smashed in by the heroic s. W. A. T. Team that rushed down the hall on the 32nd floor after the gunman slaughtered 59 concertgoers below. We are getting in photos of the massive cache of weapons he used. Were editing it. We will have it in just a moment. This debate over National Gun Policy is minutes away from heating up. Democratic senators chris murphy and Richard Blumenthal of connecticut are about to stand with the Brady Campaign named after reagan appointee james brady who was permanently disabled in the assassination atte
