Federal regulations to release treated tailings faces opposition in N.W.T.

As the N.W.T.'s environment minister prepares to respond diplomatically to the potential for discharging treated oilsands tailings into the environment, Smith's Landing First Nation Chief Gerry Cheezie said officials should expect opposition from communities downstream from the oilfields.
