Six fisherman were flung into the sea and survived to tell the tale when the boat they were in, known as Aimée, capsized in the deep sea near Kogel Bay last Wednesday (20 January).
Skipper Clive Leibrandt and all his crew had donned life–jackets and were able to stay afloat as surrounding fishing boats dashed to their rescue, pulled them on board and towed the boat back to Gordon’s Bay Harbour, where the NSRI provided additional support and medical assistance.
