Fitbit rolls out irregular heart rhythm notifications on nine smartwatches

Fitbit and Google, in a joint blog informed, that Fitbit has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for their new PPG (photoplethysmography) algorithm to identify atrial fibrillation (AFib).
