The Queensland Deputy Premier's random act of tearing up a $30 million quarantine bill has been undermined by revelations the state's former treasurer had already agreed to pay it.
Jackie Trad agreed Queensland would fund the hotel quarantine at a Board of Treasurers meeting on April 1.
Meeting minutes show she agreed it would be reconciled among states and shared according to residency.
Steve Miles has been maintaining quarantine is a federal responsibility.
