We dont know the details, but they may have been acting as first responders trying to save people when they gave their lives. 100 Law Enforcement have been brought in because of concerned about looting. They are looking for the basics. Most people we talk to, Food And Water. About 2 00 p. M. , about two hours from now, we are going to expect some temporary stations for Food And Water to start distribution. Still, 400,000 people with no power, no running water. Officials are basically saying the shelters full under these conditions, dont come here now. When you say nearly half a million, its 400,000 people right now without power just in your immediate newsgathering, but there are people out that we know have not been reached yet. What part of the population does that represent . Is that most of the areas you are in . It is all. You see people going Old School walking with a Fuel Tank, checking on people to see if they are Dead Or Alive by bicycle. We are going backwards in time to try and do things after this storm. This is kayleigh. I read a public Press Release from the city of asheville and said that restoring services for water for the full system could potentially take weeks. North carolina public radio says that could mean 100,000 people in asheville without tap water. What are they going to do . That is an amazing statistic. You get a sense when you try and drive around, the challenges. Youve got huge posts, huge trees really on every corner. Being able to move is going to be a challenge. They are not asking for much right now. They dont have cell phone service, dont have electricity, dont have water, dont have shelters they want food, water, and maybe to clean themselves at this point. God bless them. I was going to stop in North Carolina, will have to wait to do that because the supplies are too hard to get there. The lack of communication and access. I will be there shortly. I dont like the reports on getting about the federal government and the democratic governor of the state going out of their way not to help people in republican areas. We do know that a little while ago during the last hour, present biden spoke to the nation and literally could not finish answering questions it appeared because he was coughing so badly. We know that the current Vice President now running for president Kamala Harris is cutting her campaigning a bit short to go back to the White House to get briefed on the situation. The nations 45th president has gone to georgia, not an area that is directly in line that would impact anything, but close enough to make a difference which i would imagine the current President Or Vp could do. We should have seen Joe Biden at Fema Headquarters this weekend, should have seen Kamala Harris at Fema Headquarters this weekend, as President Trump was the day Hurricane Laura hit as he repeatedly did. Trump should be commended for going to georgia. What he is doing is putting a light on a huge issue. A lot of complaining over the weekend about other news organizations. Weve covered it here at fox. He is putting a light, attention, resources. Money will flow and because he chose to show up. Why have we heard from Desantis Over and over and Kemp And Cooper in North Carolina, and it took until monday to hear from Joe Biden. The governors have been visible, trump is visible. And cooper. Lets talk him for a moment. This is a democratic governor who is having to do what he has to do on the ground. I have all respect for use the resources around you, but some people dont have the resources. They dont have clean Drinking And Cleaning water and all the like. Whatever they are being exposed to water, we know it was a lifeline in all of this. That was the first thing on this list. Fuel, equipments, among the other things the former president is taking to the state of georgia. He wants to end well get to North Carolina as well. Looking at this, i remember Lee County alabama. President trumps term. Trust the abject devastation that happened after that twisters went through. He he was on the ground. It makes a difference. You see the president on the ground talking to people. They are in the heart of desperation. They wonder if anybody cares. They cant watch the tv shows. North carolina. We are working with the people of North Carolina to get them hooked up for communication. We are in valdosta. We will go with the Mayor And Anybody else. They need volunteers with some organizations. They will organize that i would imagine having discovered you cannot just show up. You have to go through that organization before they decide where they need you along the line of help. Maybe do something in your own community you can do to gather supplies, then you get them out of where you are, shipped them, put them on trucks coming at them as close to the points that you have. They will have people them to take those, off logos, and get them to the points on the ground. You cant just show up. I have lived in the carolinas enough to know that when things like this happen, you are showing up. Emily, you were talking about local organizations. And we will put that on our social pages, the importance of that and whats needed. To that point, thought how important it was in notable that our 45th president was there amplifying local needs and saying we need volunteers. Hopefully you come to media, can do your job and amplify this Call To Action for local organizations that are doing everything they can. We need these volunteers. I know in the tweet, as you read the message, that the president before his visit said i dont want to make this about me. I will come in and out, bring supplies, draw attention to it, but its not about me. I will get out of the way so the efforts and attention can remain on the local needs with the boots on the ground. You want to get in like an injection, get out, leave the Medicine And Everything behind to further that metaphor, but you want to go because the media will follow you.
