Saint John moved another step closer to beginning work on the Fundy Quay development at common council Monday night.
The city approved a nearly $8 million tender for the project’s Sea Wall Refurbishment and Storm Sewer Outfall project, as well as a separate proposal for engineering services.
A pair of local companies will handle the work, including Alternative Concrete Technologies Ltd. which earned the sea wall and storm sewer contract.
The city also accepted a $438,780 proposal, with $100,000 in contingency allowance, from Dillon Consulting Inc., a national company with a local office on Sydney Street for the engineering services.
