The 
Lupin the 3rd franchise moved into its next phase, one that creator Monkey Punch was excited about before his passing last year, with
Lupin III THE FIRST. The film saw a December 6th, 2019 debut in Japan where it was written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki. GKIDS previously picked up the rights to the film and brought it out at the start of the year on home video. With the film out for the past month now, GKIDS has dropped a fun new “quick bites” interview with Tony Oliver talking about the leading role of Lupin in the new film.
