FUND: Michelle King
IT'S close namesake on Worthy Farm may have been cancelled this year but Glaston-BURY is determined to go ahead this weekend despite lockdown restrictions.
In previous years more than 150 artists and tribute bands have rocked 17 stages at venues across the town centre.
The event started in 2008 with the aim of celebrating the town's music scene and raising money for Bury Hospice. Event organisers have raised an incredible £180,000 far.
A virtual event has now been scheduled for this Saturday in memory of popular Bury Hospice fundraiser, Michelle King, who died aged 60 in November.
The mother-of-two died unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm and was known among community groups and businesses across the town for her fundraising work.
