Google today announced the launch of Project IDX, its foray into offering an AI-enabled browser-based development environment for building full-stack web and multiplatform apps. Google did not build a new IDE (integrated development environment) when it created IDX. Instead, it is using Visual Studio Code — Open Source as the basis of its project.
