Greek Prime Minister to Attend the Porto Social Summit

ATHENS -- The European Union Roadmap for Social Cohesion over the next 10 years, as well as the coordination of the EU member-states with regard to the green certificate, the vaccination programmes and the vaccine patents are expected to be raised during the informal EU summit on Friday, the first to be held live since last December.
The summit will take place on May 7-8, in Porto, Portugal.
Regarding the issue of a Covid-19 vaccine patents waiver, government sources noted that the issue had already been raised by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in April and May 2020, in order to reduce the gap between the developed and developing countries.
