Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital receives “A” grade for hospital safety.
Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital received an “A” grade in the Spring 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital’s efforts to protect patients from errors, injuries, and infections.
The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade assigns a letter grade to all general hospitals across the country every six months and is the only ratings program based exclusively on hospitals’ prevention of medical errors and harm.
Paul Hammes, CEO of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, said “Here at Hugh Chatham we have a passion to provide each patient with the safest care possible. We are pleased to receive yet another “A grade” from the Leapfrog Group — affirmation of the expertise, teamwork, and dedication to patients among our physicians, clinical staff, and support team members.”
