HCS vice chairman hospitalized with COVID-19, chairman says

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - A key member of the Horry County Schools Board of Education has now been hospitalized with COVID-19, according to Board Chair Ken Richardson.
Richardson said Thursday that Vice Hair John Poston has the virus, and was admitted to a hospital last week. He added that Poston is on a ventilator.
No other details were provided on his condition.
According to the HCS website, Poston represents the areas of Carolina Forest and Socastee and was first elected to the board in 2008. His profile also states that he is a practicing civil engineer and land surveyor.
