Except for one brief aberration, things have gone pretty much perfectly this season for the Green Forest Lady Tigers.
The Lady Tigers have gone 11-1 this spring, outscoring their opponents 69-15. The one blemish on Green Forests record is a 6-0 loss to Harrison on April 9, but the Lady Tigers responded to that setback by winning their final four regular-season games by a combined margin of 29-2.
Now, the Lady Tigers will try to bring home a Class 3A state championship. Green Forest will face Cossatot River in the first round of the state tournament at 10 a.m. Thursday at Burns Park in North Little Rock.
