Should the Hilltoppers pull off such a feat for Class 4A, it would be a first for the program, which will be losing Hatt after the season.
“The team is working hard,” he said. “I think we have a good shot to make some noise at the state tournament. We know we have the talent. If you don’t shoot for the stars, you’ll never reach them.”
The shooting star for the Hilltoppers, senior Damian Gonzales, is looking to reach the championship match for a third straight season, only, this time, he wants to walk away as state champ instead of runner-up.
