Homicide was Camden's seventh this year and the first since Feb. 21

CAMDEN - A city man was fatally shot here Tuesday, ending a period of more than six weeks without deadly violence in Camden.
Lamar Maye, 46, was found shortly after 4 p.m. in a car on the 1200 block of Lake Shore Drive, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Maye, who'd been shot several times, died a short time later at an area hospital.
An investigation into the shooting was underway. No arrests were announced.
Maye's death was the city's seventh homicide this year and the first since Feb. 21. In contrast, Camden had two homicides at this time in 2020.
