Hong Kong Chief Executive Lee Ka-chiu said in a meeting with the media before attending the Executive Council on the 25th that the regional administrative review work has come to an end. Mr Lee said that since 2020, a large number of District Councillors have violated the functions of District Councils. Lee also mentioned that the district council, as an important part of district administration and consultation, is still worth retaining. He asked the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau to conduct local administrative reviews and make recommendations.
