Dimapur, Aug. 15 (EMN): The 76th Independence Day was celebrated in all district headquarters and sub-divisions throughout the state with ministers, parliamentary secretaries and administrative heads hoisting the national flag. Schools and institutions, defence and para-military forces, NGOs and others also took part in the celebration by organising events, paying visits to hospitals and jails and distributing items. Dimapur: The advisor of Power department, H Tovihoto Ayemi, who hoisted the tri colour during the 76th Independence Day celebration at DDSC Stadium in Dimapur said that the state the government of Nagaland is taking up three hydro projects namely- Lower Tizu Hydro Electricity Projects (42 MW), Zungki Hydro Electricity Project (24MW), and Tizu Valley (24 MW) as a part of Externally Aided Projects through the Asian Development Bank. Maintaining that the issue connected with the 186 MW hydro electricity projects at Dikhu is also getting resolved and a couple of others in progress, he said the state will be self-sufficient in electricity power supply once these projects are completed.
