Indian Army Chief, General Manoj Pande arrived in Nepal on Sunday on a five-day official visit on the invitation of the Nepali Army chief Gen. Prabhuram Sharma.
On Monday, the General will be conferred with the honorary rank of Nepali Army, which has remained a customary practice between Nepal and India to confer the honorary rank of General on each other’s Army Chiefs.
Though it is a customary visit, however, all eyes are on it as both sides are likely to hold discussions on India’s Agnipath scheme.
