Investigation into RCMP in-custody use of force concluded

On July 11, 2018, the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team was directed to investigate an allegation that on June 9, 2018 a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer committed an assault when he delivered an open-handed slap to the face of a handcuffed 30-year-old man being detained at the Strathcona County RCMP Detachment.
