An Irish privacy group has called on people across the country to join their ‘mass action lawsuit’ against Facebook that could be worth ‘hundreds of millions’.
Digital Rights Ireland (DRI) is filing a lawsuit against the company over a data breach in early April that saw the emails phone numbers of names of users across the globe published online.
An investigation into the data breach has already been launched by the Date Protection Commissioner, to see if the hack breached GDPR.
