BOKARO: The Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) has started identifying industrial units which have not become functional even after getting land for the purpose several years ago.
Kriti Shree, the regional director of JIADA (Bokaro region) said, “We have served notices to 40 such companies asking them to start operations within 15 days or clarify their stand for not starting the operations.”
According to Shree, who is the first full-time director of JIADA (Bokaro region), the region is among the most investor-friendly destinations. In recent years, the region is facing a land crunch and to resolve the problem instantly, the JIADA management has started the process to identify and cancel land allocated to industries but are not functioning for years of possessing them.
