POTTSVILLE — Phillip G. Moeller Jr. will spend as much time behind state prison bars as originally intended for killing a child, but must pay more in court costs, a Schuylkill County judge ruled Wednesday.
“The original sentence stands,” President Judge William E. Baldwin said in ordering Moeller, 50, of Fountain Springs, to serve two to five years in a state correctional institution as the result of the death of Tanner L. Geiger.
However, Baldwin said Moeller must pay $4,826.75 in additional costs of prosecution. Assistant District Attorney A.J. Serina said the costs were for the testimony of prosecution witness Dr. Samuel Land.
