That is why firefighters are putting some water on it here, theyre making sure that we get the flames out that are in these cardboard piles that are stacked here next to the manufacturing plant. The good news, though, the plant manager confirms all employees have been evacuated from the building and are accounted for. Check out this video tweeted by the santa clara fire department. A lot of fuel. This is a cardboard manufacturing plant on matthews street, in the storage area on the outside of the building, it is not in the building. Several cardboard bales are stacked 15 feet high. Overhead high voltage lines made it extra dangerous for the firefighters on scene. One of our biggest concerns was basically making sure those lines were shut down before we got too aggressive or put ourselves to be in a position underneath them because roughly four to five of the poles were exposed to heavy fire when we showed up on scene.
