Kimanis MP denies being one of 10 Umno MPs supporting Anwar as PM

PETALING JAYA: Kimanis MP Mohamad Alamin (
pic) has denied being one of the 10 Umno MPs allegedly supporting Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's fresh bid to form a new government.
"As a lawyer, I understand the impact and intent of a statutory declaration (SD) and I deny endorsing an SD with the intention of supporting Anwar as the Prime Minister," he said.
He said this in response to allegations that 113 MPs including 10 from Umno were supporting Anwar in his bid to form a new government.
Several Umno MPs lodged police reports in October after similar allegations surfaced in the run up to Anwar's audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Oct 13.
