We work hard on serving the american people. So it looks like the senate is happy. The house is happy. What about President Trump . The president said he wouldnt agree to any deal that doesnt include a wall and he is willing to shut the government down over it. If we dont change it, lets have a shutdown. Well do a shutdown and it is worth it for our country. I would love to see a shutdown if we dont get this stuff taken care of. If we have to shut it down because the democrats dont want safety and unrelated but still related, they dont want to take care of our military, then shut it down. Well go with another shutdown. So the big question is has his party talked him into this deal . The white house just spoke about it. They said we applaud both sides for negotiating a deal. That doesnt mean the president will sign it. To be fair, i assume the president and the white house have not seen the final text so theyre probably not going to commit to anything at this point but we will see. Were running down to just now hours. Right. When you hear the president say, i dont care. We can shut it down. To be fair, that sound bite came before this just this morning, the announcement from the senate that they had reached the deal but one would presume the president will stand firm. All right. Well be talking about it all day long. Meanwhile, nancy pelosi is shutting down business on the house floor by speaking and not stopping. It has been going on now for more than four hours. That started at 7 00 a. M. And she has not stopped. She wants a deal for dreamers. She has read letters from dreamers and and just anything. During the night when i was thinking and praying so hard about our dreamers, i thought maybe we should just pray all day on the floor of congress. Maybe i should write my rosary, blessed by the pope. Blessed by his holiness, pope francis, or the one before, that benedict. While most americans approve of a solution to daca, only one in four approve of nancy pelosi. The most recent nbc wall street journal poll that compared pelosi to trump showed 39 had a favorable view of the president versus 25 for pelosi.
