Over to future caste it indicates another wave of moisture headed towards us, with pockets of heavy downpour possible anywhere in the bay area. The odds of that go up every mile you go to the southeast. Within the bay area. The most widespread heaviest rain looks like its going to happen into the early hours of wednesday morning. The time sun comes up on thursday we still have plenty of rain on the radar, but further into thursday morning, we will courtesy showers coming fewer and further between. A little lighter, we cannot completely shake the showers for another 24 hours after this, not until we get to midmorning on friday. Just the first wave of rain tonight through midday tomorrow, in general, we are talking about a half an inch or so of rain north of the golden gate. Potentially enough to cause problems on the ellen uber and start, but not as heavy as it will be further to the south. We added more heading through for the tonight and tomorrow friday. Area south, especially in the Santa Cruz Mountains, high rainfall amounts expected within the next 18 hours or so and then more on top of that as we finish off the influence of this system by the end of the week. And, gusty wind will still be an issue for us as well. Not as much of an issue as they were last night when we had 70 mileperhour gusts. Instead, we will see gusts around 30 miles per hour. If you gusts up to around 40 miles per hour. Spotty showers possible but they should be gradually relaxing as we have to the day on thursday. Right now . It is still wet. Even if it is not raining on you, it feels damp in the atmosphere. Temperatures in the 40s and those numbers dont change much as we had through the rest of tonight. He was on grizzly peak last night, now deep in the south bay, morgan hill. What is the update where you are standing, i know it hasnt stopped raining. The thing about that, liz, it is totally different than last night. It is a different kind of character to the rain. I have had two days now to get very acquainted with getting rained on. Here is the important distinction. Last night, was the intense downpours that came through with the cold front. That was the excitement. We had lightning, we had gusts up to 40 and 50 miles per hour. Today, it is different. This, and you really have to get down to the southern part of Santa Clara County to find it, but, this is the heart of the actual Atmospheric River. That steady constant stream of rain that just comes, in some cases, for days on end. So, we are already a solid 24 hours into it here, and at least from about morgan hill southward, it is really going to continue to rain for the next 24 hours. More so down in Monterey County, but at least through the remainder of tonight, it will keep coming down like this, moderate, constant drip, and that can really add up over time. That is probably the most notable characteristic of these Atmospheric Rivers we keep talking about, im in it right now, guys. We know youre getting wet, we appreciate it. Great perspective for us.
