You can see most of the projections, though, just follow it right along the coastline. That is why it is stalled out. You can see over freeport and the granted bahamas not moving at all. That damage will be extensive. Some of the outer bands are beginning to get closer towards the florida coastline at least on the atlantic side. Right now, not yet. The gulf stream is 86 degrees. Youll have plenty of energy to feed off of. There is only some patchy low clouds. Highs today are 60s to upper 90s. It does look cooler. More coming up. As we continue to watch dorian, all may juror airports say they are open. Now, about half of those flights are in and out of orlando. Orlando officials changed their minds when dorian slowed down and the storms path shifted. Airlines did not reenstate those flights they had already canceled. Southwest, spirit, and jet wherein blue have also canceled some Fort Lauderdale flights. Several airlines have put travel alerts on flights in and out of florida, georgia, and the carolina. From cocoa beach east of orlando, ray . Officials are trying to warn people that sit going to be very dangerous. And they need to evacuate. They just got the new forecast that officials are so concerned. On the east coast of miami today, there could be a tornado this afternoon or tonight. By tuesday or wednesday, this storm could just be 40 or 50 miles off the coast of florida which would mean we would feel the full force of the hurricane winds. And slamming to bamamas sunday as a category five storm. Weather Officials Say as one of the strongest atlanta hurricanes ever recorded. Powerful sustained winds of 180 miles an hour toppling trees and ripping roofs off of homes. Officials there say torrential downpours could raise water levels by more than 20 feet. And as Hurricane Dorian advances close tore the u. S. , homes and businesses across florida are boarding up as shelters start welcoming people preparing for the worst. We believe that we can cope everyone aliver. Now, this storm has been moving very slowly. At some points, only one mile per hour, and others just three miles per hour. So that means the bahamas are still getting absolutely crashed by this. It could move away early tuesday and then start to head northeast. Of course, then, it is supposed to take that big turn just before it makes landfall and move its way up the coast. Back to you. As you are there and we understand the storm is moving slowly. It may just skirt along the coast and not make landfall. What is the mood there. It hay not make landfall doesnt mean it wont be dangerous. Keep in mind here, we showed one forecast that showed it could be anywhere from 20 to 30 miles off the coast of cape canaveral. If hurricaneforce winds are expanding 40 miles out from the storms center, if it is only 20 to 30 miles away, that means youre going to be taking the full force of this storm so it doesnt matter in this case if it makes landfall or not.
