That hold up occurred just before 1 00 in the afternoon at the Citizens Bank on the 1100 block of roosevelt boulevard. Police say the robber was dressed in full female clothing. Eyewitness news spoke to the fbi and spokesmen said they believe this incident is connected to the string of robberies in the northeast. Tonight a new warning from the faa about laser danger in the sky. Pilots reported having laser pointed at them flying over new jersey. It is an issue Eyewitness News has been following for some time now and we will get more from cleve bryan. It is really dangerous. It puts the mission and your crew, both the in jeopardy. Reporter that is danger, laser pointers shining in the aircraft. The faa says 11 commercial flights and a coastguard flight were targeted wednesday night, all over new jersey. This fbi training video shows that the blinding effects a laser pointer can have in a cockpit. Lieutenant mark bruno was not on wednesdays coastguard flight but it has had painful laser experience. The laser looks really small on the ground or using it as a laser pointer in a classroom. But, as it travels over a distance that beam expands. The it becomes a blinding light in the cockpit. Reporter faa says no one was hurt but they are investigating the incidents wednesday night. For air station Atlantic City Officials Say this is the 13th incident since last october. This time it was over ocean city. I think it is wrong. I think it could really hurt a lot of people. I think it the is totally wrong to do Something Like that. Reporter because of similars incident in 2011 ocean city banned shops from selling laser pointers. Two years ago governor christie vetoed a a statewide band. Lieutenant bruno said some people need to get message of danger at pointing listeners planes and helicopters. It can make it impossible to fly an aircraft. Reporter pointing a laser at any aircraft is a federal crime and punishable with thousands of dollars in fines and even jail time. That means starting next month thousands of Public Housing residents will only be able to light up outdoors. Reporter shes lived and smoked in her city owned home for 20 years and isnt happy with the idea of stopping. They should not have the authority to tell you that you cannot smoke in your home. That is just like telling you you cannot turn on the the fire, on your stove. Well, two weeks since announcing his 2016 republican president ial bid new Jersey Governor Chris Christie made his First Campaign stop in his home state today. Governor christie laid out his vision for criminal Justice Reform at a Community Center in camden. Earlier he visited hope hall a correctional Treatment Program aimed at reintegrating convicts back in the society. Governor says war on drugs is a War Without End and the real enemy is drug addiction. 50 percent of the inmates in federal prison are drug offenders.
