New this morning, Philadelphia Police are searching for the person who shot a man in the back in the city somerdale section, the man tells police he was walking down the sidewalk on somerdale street near robbins avenue when someone shot just before midnight. Victim was taken to einstein hospital. He is expected to survive. The shooter is still at large. Also, new this morning, philadelphia fire investigators looking into the cause of a fire that tore through several apartments in a restaurant near the intersection of broad and huntingdon streets in north philadelphia. Shortly after 1 00 a. M. , fire crews responded to a call of fire on the second floor of the 3story structure, were told the apartment was empty where the fire started. Two people were evacuated and no injuries were reported. Happening today, town of ferguson, missouri will mark the one Year Anniversary of the shooting of michael brown. Yesterday several hundred people marched through the town led by browns father, michael. The shooting of the unarmed black 18 year old by white Police Officer, Darren Wilson, spark many violent demonstrations across the country also around the world. Later today, a march is planned that will start at the site of the brown shooting and finish at a local church. The fbi is now assisting in the investigation of a deadly shooting involving a rookie texas Police Officer. Friday morning, Police Officer brad miller shot and killed 19 year old Christian Taylor during burglary call at car dealership. According to reports, taylor was unarmed at the time of the shooting. Arlington Police DepartmentSpokesman Says that taylor was uncooperative after crashing his jeep through the front glass of deeper schil during that end counter. As officers stood outside the building they made verbal contact with mr. Taylor through the glass wall instructing him to lion the ground. Mr. Taylor was not compliant. The officer has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation takes place. Family members of taylor describe him as a good kid and dont believe that he was trying to commit a crime. Police are investigating a deadly shooting in north philadelphia. Detective say a 46 year old man was shot in the chest at allegheny avenue and e street around 2 30 in the afternoon, he died at Temple University hospital. Two either wounded, another 159 year old man, the search is on for the gunman this morning. Learning more about deadly stabbing in mayfair early saturday. Police say it happened after a 21 year old man tried flagging down a driver who was going the wrong way on revere street. Police say the car slowed down, a man then got out of the vehicle, and stabbed 21 year old in the chest. The suspect then got back in the car and fled the scene. Police are still looking for a suspect this morning. Pennsylvania attorney general Kathleen Cay Kane finger printed and arraigned this weekend at the Montgomery County courthouse. , and andrea huff was there as kane turned herself in. The weekend crowd in norristown strayed to the norm, Kathleen Kane was med by media and handful of wellwishers. Good luck, miss kane. The small smile fell flat once inside the Montgomery County detective bureau, as if looking through the other end of the lentz, kane arrested. She went through the series of things we have to do with processing, with fingerprints, and mugshots, things like that. This is a sad day for the citizens of pennsylvania. Thursday, kane was formally charged with crimes including obstruction and perjury which is a felony, the alleged leak of protected grand jury information that was later published in the philadelphia daily news. Prosecutors believe that this was an act of retaliation against former colleagues that kane believed dealt her bad press in the month prior. After a video meeting with the district judge, kane was even more short to avoid comments that her attorney spoke out against thursdays allegations. It leaves out players t leaves out communications. Single vehicle crash happened at the intersection of fourth and lombard streets, the vehicle there crashed into a tree, only one person was in the car at the time. The white Police Officer responsible was cleared of any wrongdoing. In the year since browns killing, the city of ferguson has started making changes. Officials hired an interim police chief who was black, and overhauled its municipal courtesies tell. Nineteen year old Zachary Hammonds was shot to death late last month and in seneca during marijuana bus. Police say that hammond accelerated his karat an officer forcing him to open fire. But hammonds family says an independent autopsy has shown the teenager was actually shot from behind, Seneca Police have so far declined to release dash cam video of the incident saying that it is part of an ongoing investigation. A woman was shot by a washington dc Police Officer at the scene of a fire saturday evening, a warning some people may finds this video a bit disturbing.
