The storm is on its way out. It is heading our way, yeah , not irma any longer but easy way to refer to what is happening across eastern half of the country. Remnants of irma impacting northern texas all the way up through portions of maryland, virginia this evening and going to head into our region over next few days. This system is not, any longer a, organized system, and it will not bring us much beyond showers, and increase in humidity and cloud cover, also that rough surf that we were talking about. Lets look at what is going on outside to ocean city where cloud are in, and that surface looking very rough, the tides high, it will continue to be a problem throughout the next several days. High rip current risk warnings are in effect up and down new jersey coastline, throughout the delaware beaches as well, and this could impact you right through rest of the week and into the upcoming weekend, perhaps, so keep in mind if you are heading down the shore it will be warm, possibly in the the best beach days over the next few days but, we have a dangerous swimming in the ocean, only swim on guarded beaches. Storm scan three showing those cloud band drift nothing , couple sprinkles off to the south, most of these not making their way in to our region right now. You can see showers over northeastern maryland in, to portions of delaware as well this evening but most of us, looking okay, as we head down to the south you can see circulation around what was once Hurricane Irma. Again, no longer a tropical system but does have showers associated with it and impacting entire eastern half of the country. With westerly wind, this has got to get out of here somehow and exit the east coast. It will die before it does so but we will talk about cloud, showers, and increase in heat and humidity over next few days as tropical moisture moves through. It is near 8o humidity is low. It will ramp up tomorrow with dew points in the upper 60s. 10 00 a. M. We have a batch of showers moving through. Scattered showers all day. Looks like thursday may be the most active day with scattered showers and perhaps a thunderstorm at anytime. Friday we will start to dry out a bit as those showers move to the north ande but still, cannot rule one out. Now, as far as rain amounts are concerned, it is not much. These are light but we are looking at least than half inch in philadelphia, probably as much as an inch off to the west where heavier downpours may occur. Hurricane jose is still a category one hurricane, but good news is models are more in agreement that this will head back out to sea. One point it looks like it would head due east and impact east coast. It looks unlikely it will make u. S. Land fall sunday at 2 00 p. M. Curving north of ber mute. With you with that system we can expect large swells and strong rip currents to continue, through the even of the week, and right through the weekend. That means beach erosion will be a threat as well as cleve was talking about earl inert broadcast. Overnight tonight, it is mainly cloudy, warm. 63 degrees is your overnight low. Tomorrow, warm, steamy, but more cloud then sunshine, with scattered showers around, and dodging drops if you are out and b thursday, friday, same story, friday starts to dry out and weekend is trending brighter, and it is trending warmer now that jose is getting out of here, it will be a warm final weekend of summer, highs in the 80s.
