The war of the winds will remain. Here is latest on jose, category one hurricane, sustain winds at 75 miles an hour, moving now due north at 10 Miles Per Hour and heres the latest track, you can see it will not get much closer to the new jersey and delaware coastline then it is right now and just eventually going to sit, spin for a while, turning into a remnant low. But note that is entire cone of concern is well off of our coastline. So even though that system is sitting, and spinning in the opened ocean it is not expected to have any appreciable impact on our weather. You can see why Tropical Storm watch has been cancelled, Tropical Storm force wind in the red and pink shading, it stays just off shore with the latest track of jose, it looks like we will see gusty wind along the coast but not getting into those 40 miles an hour plus sustained wind, although gusts could top that. Lauren will have more on the impact down the shore and what people could see, shes live for us tonight with the mobile weather watchers in North Wildwood, hi there, lauren. Hi, kate, yeah. Over last couple of hours conditions have intensified with the wind increasing and the waves getting closer and closer to the sea wall. Hurricane help say is still hundreds of miles off shore as you mentioned. Were definitely feeling impact here along the new jersey coastline. Wind are whipping and those waves, they are ferocious. And now just in the last hour or so, the ocean has completely consumed now the beach, and waves are starting to crash up against the sea wall. Beach erosion will be one of the main concerns with help say and that is why crew is here in North Wildwood were out earlier in the day building up the sand dunes to help combat any erosion, that will take place and in association with jose over next 36 hours, wave heights we could see possibly up to 15 feet, not too far off shore and then that angry ocean is certainly keeping shore goers, well away from the water. Really rough, picking up, wins picking up and see how rough the ocean is getting. I hope we just dont get beach erosion. Is there nobody in the water especially with no life guard on duty. It is best to be safe. I wouldnt go in but the rips, forget. Water is warm. It is tempting but, i am not a good swimmer, neither is she, so. Height of the impact will come tonight and throughout the day tomorrow we will see rain band moving on shore. We could pick up an inch of rainfall possibly up to two. That could abe stretch by late tomorrow night. We will see potential for wind gusts as kate was talk up but ward of 45 miles an hour, minor to moderate coastal flooding at high tide times that threat for locally significant beach erosion and, of course, dangerous rip currents but good news everyone we have seen out and about today being very safe, staying way from the water, just coming up to the sea wall , taking a quick peak and taking a sea wall, selfie as im seeing or watching the waves, crashing in and kind of breaking out their phones, jumping up on the sea wall and taking that picture but that will come to an end here as we head into the next 30 minutes because the waves are starting to overtake really just in the last 10 minutes that wave crashing over the wall, i will get me sea wall selfie and guys, get the heck out of here before i get wet from these strong waves too. Get your sea wall self out of there thanks very much. As you showed us a few people were on the beach, atlantic city, for example, rough tide came n marge and others were taking in the view of the ocean. Concerned about what jose could do to the coastline in the coming days. They could not help but think of what they lost during sandy praying that it doesnt happen to them again.
