Large title haul for Southlanders at South Island Athletics Championships

Robertson also won gold in the high jump and was part of the James Hargest College team which won the under-15 boys 4x100m relay.
Southland Boys' High School's James McLeay also impressed in the under 15 boys age-group by claiming the 3000m title and he finished third in the open steeplechase.
Wakatipu High School's Eliana Collins was the star in the under-15 girls winning the high jump, finishing second in the triple jump, and third in the 80m hurdles.
In the under-16 girls age group Kennedy Taylor yet again impressed finishing first in the open steeplechase, while Wakatipu High School's Samantha Fookes won the 800m title.
