'Alaskan Fire' shuts down traffic in Ogden canyon

WEBER COUNTY, Utah — The Alaskan fire, which started Wednesday evening, has shut down traffic in Ogden Canyon.
Ogden Canyon road is closed in both directions from the mouth of the canyon to Pineview reservoir. The fire is buring on the South side of the road in steep rugged terrain, making it difficult for crews to fight the fire.
The fire is estimated at 2.5 acres as of 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. Structures were threatened at the first update but are no longer threatened.
