He said the attacks would change the middle east. Israel has ordered a complete blockade of the gazas and has mobilized 300,000 reserves. Tanks gather in fields. After the terrorist attacks, hundreds of thousands of reservists answer the call. There will be no electricity, food or water. We are fighting against human animals and we are acting accordingly. Hospitals are already feeling the effects of the blockade, running out of critical supplies. Unfortunately, the amount of supplies is insufficient and some medicines are not available , there is also the threat of running out of fuel. Israel says it is targeting facilities and had orders that hundreds of civilians are being hit by missiles. I was in my house with my children, i was sleeping and in the morning came the missiles. We were hit and the children were fleeing. Some people were injured. We fled. Israel says the borders will stay closed while soldiers scour for fighters. Rocket fire continues. So goes the aerial bombardment. Fearing further infiltration, israel is deploying send tanks. Shelling the area as they try and push back the threat. Hezbollah has been responding. I was in the town that has become a ghost town and i see people leaving homes even though the military has not announced the evacuation, only the settlement, smaller farming communities along the border should evacuate and they said the residents should remain but the people are in a very difficult situation, there has been a lack of electricity and water, people are escaping the area, rockets are landing and there is a feeling of the lack of a faith in the government. Hamas has now said it would be open to negotiating a truce. Has there been any response from israel . Clearly hamas is interested in a truce because israel is accelerating the campaign in the gaza strip, the last thing israel is talking about is a truce. They are talking about escalating and hamas is saying they would only negotiate the release of prisoners if there is a truce. We dont see this happening right now. They have another talks, i could tell you the egyptians and qataris are trying to reach an agreement, one of the ideas floating around is hamas would release women and children and israel would release palestinian women, but this is not happening. Netanyahu just said the response is just the beginning. However we to understand that . This is what the military is talking about, all of the experts are talking about that israel would have a Ground Invasion into the gaza strip, there is an agreement this is going to happen and there is going to be a fierce campaign against hamas. They know there will be a heavy price and israel soldiers will die but this is the state of mind and i can tell you the fear is that this will escalate to lebanon and this is something people do not want but if there is a further escalation, we dont know if hezbollah would want to join forces. His daughter and best friend went missing saturday, i asked what he knows about what happened. The last time we heard from her, they were at a piece festival and we heard from her, she was frightened, crying and heard gunshots. She was saying they were hiding in a shelter and i was sure it would finish quickly and i told her to stay calm and she did not have the batteries so she hung up and that was the last time we heard something from her. Have you been able to reach her . You been able to call her back . She had more battery. She helped her in the ambulance. That was the last time someone talks to her. After that, nobody could tell us. Which could be a good sign if she was at the ambulance where the Emergency Services were. Have the authorities been able to tell you anything about her whereabouts since this moment . The issue is is they dont know anything. Nobody has any information to give us, so i dont really know what happened. I am trying to collect some stories, but we are in the dark about what happened in the ambulance. My daughter is a paramedic. She went to help. She was helping and assisting. Here we are talking about war, the military. These are huge geopolitical stories. I am to you as a father who just wants to see his daughter again. How do you put these events in order in your mind right now . For the people watching this, how do you explain how you are feeling . Its very clear for me. The conflict is there. This is way beyond. Innocent people, civilians. Nobody can understand, everyone should worry. This is a real threat to the democratic world. I want to ask you, news broke that the European Union was planning to suspend aid to the palestinian authority. What do you make of suspending the payments . Its very important we dont finance everything that is misused for supporting terrorist attacks. Obviously, there is no support for the administration or hamas, so we have to look into that very carefully so it does not happen. On the other hand, humanitarian aid has been given for good reason. We need to make sure no money can be abused to support terror or antisemitism. Can you say, germany has Development Aid that goes to the palestinian territories. Can you say none of that money is ever funneled into the hands of hamas and is used for terror purposes . As far as i know, that is not happen but we have to look into that. I think there is a good system, in the moment i think its very important to take a close look on all of that that there has not been abusive that, there has not been abusive corruption that might have led to a use of money for this purpose. Humanitarian aid is always important and necessary. We have to make sure and we will definitely look into that. I think the german system of finance control is fairly effective. There are 13,000 members in the gaza strip financed by the eu, the united states, they run schools and hospitals and they say they dont pay anything to hamas but in an entity like the gaza strip, its very difficult because there is no rule of law, there are audits so they try to keep track of the money and the other is Development Aid.
