Local Cultural Groups Receive Grants Totalling of $120K
This year's award winners of grants from the Broome, Chenango, and Otsego Decentralization Program cover the full spectrum of area cultural groups, venues and organizations. The grant program is administered by the historic Earlville Opera House.
A total of 36 non-profits received up to the maximum award of $5,000. Individual artists were also recipients of monetary awards.
Some of the grantees include Afton Community Theater, Otselic Valley Fishing and Heritage Association, Orpheus Theater of Oneonta, New Berlin Free Library, 6 on the Square in Oxford, Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival, the Chenango Arts Council, Guernsey Memorial Library, the Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts, Pathfinder Village, the ARC Otsego, Oneonta Community Concert Band, First United Presbyterian Church, Catskill Valley Wind Ensemble, and others. The individual artist monetary awards went to two Chenango County individuals: Matt Pryor and Bonnie Gale. Several of these entities received the maximum arts and cultural grant award of $5,000.
