Many Montrealers are looking to furry companions to help them deal with pandemic-related loneliness and isolation, but dog rescue workers are worried. They fear many newly adopted dogs will be abandoned after COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Since the start of the pandemic, SPCA Montreal says it's dealt with a higher than usual number of dog adoption requests.
